This simple video may have been posted before but have any of you SX10 CHDK owners used this instructional video with success? I'm just glad my daughter and brother have the same camera so I could try it in theirs, or I really might be bald now, instead of just gray. I have it installed on my 4gb sdhc and formatted it using card tricks. The switch itself should be really simple, just a bit of spring metal that's either contacts another bit of metal or not. I did use card tricks and followed every step of the instructions given here chdk. The released pre-beta version is just for firmware 1.

Yep, Sx10ia have it locked, but it won't load chdk. So, I looked inside the slot of the bad camera.

I really need the help! The Typ refers to the newer M range which among other things has live view. And knowledgeable shooters often like to bracket their shots, taking multiple versions at different settings to increase the odds of capturing the scene right. There are information on the CHDK wiki site for this.
The M Monochrom is a close cousin of the M9 and has the older sensor - but without any Bayer matrix filter. The camera just freezes.
The "read me" says when I turn my camera on in play I press menu then select firm update, once update is complete "read chkd says I will see a new battery meter and several other things, but I never get those, no matter how long I wait. My SDHC cards are locked, they autoload. Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver.

Sorry, I should have given more info. It's still beta level right now. I hope this helps someone else who may be having the sx10iz problem. The triggering capabilities has me intrigued.
I did find the "firmware update" but the next steps don't work. Used a little common sense as to which way the pin should be bent and I did. Shooting and Editing Better Videos. I've downloaded it, and ready to install.

Justin, there are possibly other features like "Time Lapse". What is the purpose of locking the card. Why does a sensor have unused masked pixels.
